BEST OF THE BEST - South Eastern Division |
|
Invite to the up and coming Best of the Best Championships South Eastern Division. Which Includes; Junior/Senior Kata, Patterns, Kung-Fu/Kenpo Forms/Free Style Kata/Weapons, Then Senior’s, And Then Junior and Senior Sparring.
This Event Is Open To All Styles, Systems, Associations and Beliefs Of Martial Arts!! We Will Run A Fair And Non Bias Tournament. Saturday 3rd October 2009 In the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, Co. Wexford ----------------------- Tournament starts at 11:00am sharp, competitors should be there by 10:00am. Full safety equipment must be worn, 10oz gloves for all continuous sparring regardless of age.
Special Weekend rates are available from the Ashdown Park Hotel (Just mention you are part of the tournament)
Competitor fees (Junior) €25.00 /(Senior) €30.00 /This price gives access to all divisions. Spectator fees € 5.00

AIMAA Black Belt Test - 29.06.08 |
Even with the preparation being long and arduous, this testing still saw students being pushed to the extremes of mental and physical perseverance under the watchful eyes of Master John Darcy, Master Peter Byrne and Master John Kirkwood. From our school was Mr James Farrell testing for 4th Degree Black Belt, Ms Ruth Ross, Ms Chloe Farrell, Mr Kevin O'Murchu, Mr Ronan Nolan and Mr Silvano Viti testing for their first Black Belt.The day started of with high-red belts testing for black belts.  The students started off with the traditional Tae Kwon Do patterns, displaying focus, coordination and power. Next up was the fighting techniques ranging from white belt to black belt curriculum. Students were then paired off for self defense techniques including striking from different ranges and take downs. Next up were the black belts, some of whom were testing for 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th degree black belts. Starting off with some powerful displays of patterns, this was lining up to be an exciting testing.

Colour Belt Test - 02.02.08 |

Students who attended the colour belt test on the 2nd of February 2008 just got their results and the news was good - everyone passed! Well done to all who took part. There were also students from Mr Daniel Farrel's school at DCU so at the table was Mr James Farrell, Mr Daniel Farrell and Master John Darcy to oversee the test. It was a tough testing and as always a good experience.  Before the colour belt testing, the AIMAA Panthers had a test for their yellow stripe belt - which is now part of their new belt system which copies the standard belt format, yellow stripe, orange stripe, green stripe etc... The test was for their Balance skill and with some excellent multiple roundhouse kicks, sparring, and handstands the Panters did a great job and attained their belt.
